Art is great. Story lines are the problem. The artist has not lived. He has not sought truth. Every panel should advance the story but there isn't one - it is disjointed and cobbled and of no interest. The artist does not know himself or the world around him. Fantasy disconnected from the human experience is narcissistic musings of the ignorant who suppose they are more intelligent than the rest of us. The artist should mentally and emotionally disregard all that he believes and begin an honest search for truth. Begin with - who am I and why am I here...
This artist has raw talent, he could use some professional training to deal with proportions. To make it in the art world, you have to realize that there are many artists that draw at this level but most of them copy stylings and are not original. This artist is one of the few I have seen that has the potential to SAY something -- he just doesn't have anything of worth to say YET. Art helps us understand ourselves and our world. I hope this artist advances beyond anime storylines and personally takes a journey into the real world where is takes courage to face the struggles of the everyday.
I think this artist needs to start a trend rather than follow it. All good storytellers incorporate a wisdom of life that is rooted in the common struggles. That artist needs to know those struggles...
